Noida/Viral Video: A social media post by a Noida engineer has gone viral, sparking a conversation about skyrocketing real estate prices in Noida, India.
Kashish Chhibber, known online as "Witty Engineer," shared a viral video on Instagram showcasing under-construction luxury apartments in Noida Sector 124. The eye-watering price tag? A staggering Rs 15 crore for a 4BHK flat and a mind-blowing Rs 25 crore for a 6BHK.
In the viral video post Kashish Chhibber says, ‘Kitni bhi jobs switch karlu, kitni bhi trading karlu ya investing karlu, kya kabhi apna ghar khareed paunga’ which loosley translates to (No matter how much job i do i will never be able to afford a flat here.)
Chhibber's reaction in the viral video resonated with many. He questioned, "Who is buying these apartments? What kind of work do they do?" His statement in viral video reflects the struggle of many middle-class individuals who dream of homeownership but find themselves priced out of the market.
The viral Noida engineer video has ignited a debate online. Many netizens echoed Chhibber's sentiment, expressing disbelief at the prices. Some known social media influencers and youtubers also pointed out that for the same amount, one could buy a villa in Dubai or a prime location apartment in international cities like Singapore or Manhattan.

One viewer says, ‘why pay so much to literally live on top of another’. Another user wrote, ‘I heard this project was given notice for insolvency in May 2024 for dues unpaid by the builder.’
One more user says, ‘It’s better to stay out from India. No pure air, no government relaxation scheme post retirement.’
This social media buzz highlights the growing disparity in the Indian real estate market. While luxury projects cater to a niche clientele, affordability remains a major concern for a large segment of the population.
