Kenyan police fired tear gas and detained scores of protesters demanding an end to police brutality in Nairobi on Tuesday.

About a hundred protestors took part in demonstrations across the Kenyan capital Nairobi demanding an end to police brutality, insecurity, lack of water amid other necessities.

Security was beefed up at various places in the city ahead of the planned protest.

Many Kenyans have been angered by a fresh wave of alleged police abuses while enforcing coronavirus restrictions.

But activists say there has been no groundswell of widespread public protest in Kenya over the issue.and any content included within the AP Television News service and for libel, privacy, compliance and third party rights applicable to their Territory.
