Popular Korean actor Kim Min Jae has now joined the military for his mandatory service. The actor, through his agency, issued an official statement regarding the same. Earlier this week, BTS member Suga had announced his military joining date. Now, the Dr Romantic actor is also headed for his service.

Min Jae's agency was quoted by the local daily Koreaboo as saying, “Kim Min Jae will enlist in the military today. We ask for your warm support and encouragement to Kim Min Jae, who will faithfully perform his duties and return in good health.”
Additionally, the actor took to his social media handle to update his fans about the development by posting his photo sporting a buzz cut. In the following story, Kim Min Jae wrote, “I will return in good health.”

Earlier today, Min Jae's Dali and Cocky co-star Hwang Bo Ra shared a snapshot from her video chat with Min Jae. She wrote in the caption, "He’s a younger brother I feel affectionate for. He’s returning in March 2025. After you return, let’s sweep the Korean film (industry). Love you, come back safely."
The news about Kim Min Jae enlisting in the military first broke in April during a press conference for his series Dr Romantic 3. The actor, who did not confirm his enlisting then, had said, “I think this will be my last project of my 20s.”

Kim Min Jae is best known for his performance in Dr Romantic. Some of his other popular works include Tempted, Dali and Cocky Prince and Guardian: The Lonely and Great God. Min Jae began his career as a rapper in 2014 and found fame as an actor with the South Korean-Vietnamese drama Forever Young.
Earlier this week, BTS member Suga officially announced his date for joining the miliary. The singer, through his agency, revealed that he would begin his service on September 22. Suga will be the third member from BTS to fulfill his mandatory military service, following in the footsteps of his bandmates Jin and J-Hope.
