America Will Have Only Two Genders-Male and Female, Announces Trump
Donald Trump has announced an executive order that will fundamentally change how the federal government recognizes gender.

New Delhi, India: In his first act as the 47th President of the United States, Donald Trump has announced an executive order that will fundamentally change how the federal government recognizes gender. Just after taking the oath of office, Trump declared that the government will officially recognize only two genders—male and female—effectively ending the recognition of gender diversity.
"As of today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders—male and female," Trump said.
The move comes as part of a broader push by the incoming Trump administration to reverse policies related to transgender rights that have become a focal point of debate in the U.S. in recent years.
The recognition of gender diversity has been at the center of contentious discussions, particularly around transgender women participating in sports, a topic that Trump and many Republicans made a key issue during the last election campaign.
At a pre-inauguration rally, Trump vowed to "keep all men out of women's sports.” He also pledged to restrict access to gender-affirming care, particularly for minors.
An official from Trump's administration had reportedly revealed that further actions to dismantle Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs are expected in the coming days.
The official noted that federal funds would no longer be allocated to promote "gender ideology.”
The executive action is expected to spark significant backlash from civil rights and LGBTQ+ advocacy groups, who argue that such policies undermine hard-won progress in advancing equal rights for all Americans, particularly transgender individuals.
