Social media giants Facebook and Instagram have reportedly gone dark, leaving millions of users worldwide struggling to access the platforms. As per claims, several users' complaints have flooded Downdetector, which tracks outages by collating status reports from several sources. 

According to Down Detector, a website that tracks outages and disruptions to online services, the number of reports of issues with Facebook and Instagram began to spike rapidly in the early hours of March 25, with users in multiple regions affected. Despite the scale of the outage, Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, has yet to issue an official statement on the cause of the disruption or when users can expect the platforms to be back online.
