Heavy rain, floods continue in southern China

Rain-triggered floods inundated homes and farmlands in southeastern China, state media reported. Morean a million people have been affected by heavy rains in Guangxi, Hunan, Guangdong, and other southern provinces. Nine people have been killed since the floods began on June 2, state media re thported. More heavy rain is expected in parts of southern China. The country has dispatched crews to prevent flooding, sounding early alarm warnings and activating high emergency response levels.
