Three injured in eastern China gas explosion

Three people were injured in a gas explosion near a hotel in Zhuhai of eastern China on Friday, state broadcaster CCTV reported.

The explosion happened on Friday morning and the fires were put out about an hour later, CCTV said.

CCTV footage showed the surrounding shops and residential buildings damaged in the explosion.

Firefighters rescued nine people and sent the injured to a nearby hospital, according to CCTV.
