Tokyo's Disneyland on Monday previewed its new coronavirus safety measures ahead of reopening for the first time in four months. In a preview demonstration, staff were seen wearing face shields and checking the body temperatures of other staff members who were posing as visitors.
Among a new set of policies, visitors with fever over 37.5 degrees, or showing symptoms are asked to refrain from entering. Visitors will also be asked to wear face masks while they are in the park, and to disinfect their hands regularly.
Disneyland's signature parades and shows remain suspended to avoid crowds from forming, but characters may appear several times a day. The Japanese government lifted its request to refrain from non-essential traveling across prefectural borders on June 19th. Tokyo Disneyland will reopen Wednesday July 1st.
