Emeritus Pope Benedict XIV visits family grave in Germany

Emeritus Pope Benedict XIV visited the grave of his parents and his sister on Saturday afternoon. He was accompanied by the bishop of Regensburg and his secretary Georg Gaenswein.

Earlier, the emeritus pope paid another visit to his ailing 96-year old brother, Georg Ratzinger.

Benedict had traveled to his native Germany Thursday to be by his brother's sickbed and will stay there as long as necessary, the Vatican said.
