French president on easing of virus restrictions

President Emmanuel Macron laid out new rules for France's coronavirus strategy on Tuesday, after imposing nationwide restrictions last month as virus infections, hospitalizations and deaths surged around Europe.

People in France will be able to go back to their favourite shops and attend religious services again next week, but restaurants will not open until at least January 20.
