Protesters in the French city of Lyon on Tuesday gathered outside the Palais the Justice to demonstrate against police violence and racial injustice.

Across France, protesters have taken to the streets to express outrage following the death of George Floyd in the United States, which has set off days of unrest in the United States.

They were also paying homage to Adama Traore, a French black man who died in police custody in 2016.

Floyd died last week when a police officer pressed his knee into his neck for several minutes even as he plead for air and stopped moving.
