The trial of a man charged with murdering three people in northern Spain started Monday, with heavily armed police guarding the Provincial Court of the region of Teruel where the case is being heard.
Norbert Feher, also known as Igor el Russo, stands accused of killing a livestock owner and two civil guards in the village of Andorra in December 2017.
Feher, a Serbian citizen, slipped police surveillance in Italy in April 2017 where he had been convicted of killing police officers and members of the general public.
The week long jury trial will take place under tight security, a special glass cabin has been built for the accused.

Over the next week, 60 witnesses and experts are scheduled to explain the details of the events that happened in the farmhouse near the tiny village.
