A climate change protester who goes by the name of Mr Broccoli has been interviewed by British host Piers Morgan on October 17. He was arrested this week as part of Extinction Rebellion's protests across the city of London and appeared on Morgan's morning show to explain his ideas regarding climate and food we eat. Netizens meanwhile have reacted to the interview with a different array of reactions.
A heated discussion
The discussion did not have a great start as Mr Broccoli referred to Piers as 'Peas' during the debate and from there it did not go well. Mr Brocolli said that his point is that environmentally speaking, people had created a terrible situation and they must transition to a plant-based food system.
'I'm just a humble broccoli' 🤷♀️🥦

Mr Broccoli says he wants people to join the Animal Rebellion movement and is calling on people to eat more plant-based foods.#GMB pic.twitter.com/dVIBcMZRyl
On which Morgan retorted that But you do not know why you do not know the science. Mr Broccoli then said that He is just broccoli at the end of the day.

Netizens react
Meanwhile, Netizens have reacted to the discussion with an array of reactions. One user said, “I would have asked him if he eats his own kind and therefore guilty of cannibalism?.” Another user said, “Does go off in a couple of days so we can throw him away”. To which the first tweeter said that “Not if he is frozen”. Another user said, “He doesn’t know what planet he’s on let alone knowing what he’s actually fighting for .. What is this country coming to.” To which a user replied, “Of course he doesn't know, he is simply humble broccoli after all.” Another user said “Probably the most pointless, waste of time interview I've ever seen! He didn't help his cause at all”.
No surprise he could only provide a glib "I'm just a humble broccoli" to an entirely reasonable question about the science. This is identity politics writ large where right or wrong does not depend on the veracity of arguments but rather association with an identitarian movement.

This is only the stem of the problem. I think he’s gone steaming in and could find himself in hot water. Looks like a stalker to me.
