French and Tunisian PMs meet in Paris

French Prime Minister Jean Castex welcomed Tunisian Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi to Paris on Monday, ahead of a day of meetings between officials from both nations.

The day is expected to include discussions on Tunisia's geostrategic positioning and bilateral cooperation between the North African nation and France.

This will be Mechichi's first official visit to France, after assuming the office of Prime Minister in September 2020.
