Global leaders condemn the eight serial blasts on Easter Sunday in Sri Lanka
In the wake of the multiple blasts which have hit Sri Lanka killing 185 (which include 35 foreigners) and injuring over 400 people on Sunday, Global leaders have shared their prayers and thoughts with the victims' families and the injured people of Sri Lanka.

In the wake of the multiple blasts which have hit Sri Lanka killing 185 (which include 35 foreigners) and injuring over 400 people on Sunday, Global leaders like British Prime Minister Theresa May, US President Donald Trump, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, French President Emmanuel Macron, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison have condemned the serial blasts and have shared their prayers and thoughts with the victims' families and the injured people of Sri Lanka.
Other leaders too have issued statements offering their condolences to the bereaved families.
German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier wrote in a message to his Sri Lankan counterpart that he was "stunned and horrified" by the "cowardly terror attacks."
New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern described the attack as "devastating" saying,
"New Zealand condemns all acts of terrorism, and our resolve has only been strengthened by the attack on our soil on the 15th of March. To see an attack in Sri Lanka while people were in churches and at hotels is devastating."
Bangladesh's Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed her deep concerns over the explosions which took place on Sunday morning.

Earlier, Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe addressed the media and said 'action will be taken to stop the activity of all extremist groups in the country. Social media would be temporarily banned with 12-hour curfew from 6 pm to 6 am.'
On Sunday, three churches- St Anthony's Church in Colombo, St Sebastian's Church in the western coastal town of Negombo and another church in the eastern town of Batticaloa and three hotels the Shangrila, the Cinnamon Grand, and the Kingsbury were targeted, killing 185 people and injuring over 400, as per reports. There were two more blasts in Dematagoda and Dehiwala in the day, as per reports.
