Howdy Modi: Organizers gearing up for event, over 50,000 registered
PM Modi's mega welcoming event 'Howdy, Modi!' organized in Houston is all set to commence on September 22 with volunteers gearing up for the logistics required

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's welcoming event, 'Howdy, Modi!', organized by the Texas India Forum (TIF) is all set to commence on September 22 at the NRG Stadium in Houston, USA. Around 50,000 registrations have already been made, stated reports. A press release given by the Texas India Forum stated that the volunteers are in their final phase in organizing the event. The event commences with an address to the people of Houston. They will welcome PM Modi 'Texas-style' from 10 am to 1 pm. According to reports, PM Modi will address the Indian diaspora at the event.
According to the TIF, the crowd turnout is expected to be the largest for any Indian Prime Minister's address in North America. It is supposed to be the largest crowd for a democratically elected foreign leader in America. The event is titled 'Share dreams, Bright Future'. It will focus on the success of the Indian-Americans and their contribution to the US. It will also focus on the US-India relationship. While 50,000 people have already registered to attend the event, more than 650 community organizations have signed up as Welcome Partners for the event, stated the release. The event is now entering the phase of execution.

Facilities and programmes
The organizer, Texas India Forum, will provide free parking space at the stadium for all people attending the event. Several cultural programs have also been planned for the event. According to the release, the stage performance will be 90 minutes which will involve organizations and performers. The TIF release stated that even though the registrations for the event has been closed, a waitlist is still open.

President Donald Trump to attend the event
The White House on Sunday had announced that President Donald Trump will be attending the 'Howdy, Modi!' event to welcome PM Modi. According to the White House, the event will be a great opportunity to emphasize the strong ties between the people of India and the US. This will also help in strengthening the India-US ties, said the experts. PM Modi on Twitter has welcomed the gesture.
