Rescued migrants recover from sinking off Greece

Some of the migrants rescued off the Greek coast were seen leaving hospital late on Saturday.

The coast guard said 21 migrants were rescued after their boat took in water and sank in the Ionian Sea earlier in the day, but that 12 others died and a number of others were presumed missing.

The vessel sank southwest of the island of Paxos, according to a coast guard spokesperson, who added that some 50 migrants were believed to have been on board at the time.
