About 100 representatives of Hong Kong medical workers union marched to government offices on Wednesday morning.

Protesters demanded a meeting with Hong Kong chief executive Carrie Lam.

Chris Cheung, their union leader, expressed disappointment at Lam's refusal to meet with the strikers.

Medical workers urged her to resolve this situation by coming out and talking to them.

The union started a strike to urge the Hong Kong government to close the border with China to protect the territory against the new coronavirus.
