Chitra Divakaruni and multiple other Indian-Americans are preparing to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Texas on Sunday.

The Indian ambassador to the U.S., Harsh Vardhan Shringla, said, that while in Houston, Modi will meet with the heads of major energy companies. There have been talks that both parties are interested in bolstering India’s imports of liquefied natural gas.
More than 50,000 people are expected to attend the mega Howdy Modi event in Texas. US President Donald Trump will also be addressing the Indian-American community at the Howdy Modi event.
