Indonesia's President Joko Widodo received his second dose of the Chinese-made coronavirus vaccine on Wednesday, two weeks after the first injection.
The vaccination program prioritizing health workers and public officers in the world's fourth most populous country comes after the government authorized emergency use of the vaccine produced by the Sinovac Biotech Ltd.
Indonesia's health ministry data on Wednesday showed about 245,685 people have received the vaccine so far, most of the health care workers, in 34 provinces.
Several top officers from military, national police, health ministry have also received their second shots at the Presidential Palace, as well as a social media influencer.

Tuesday, Indonesia announced that its COVID-19 cases had surpassed 1 million cases.
The Health Ministry registered 13,094 new daily cases, bringing the total to 1,012,350.
