Dozens of protesters gathered outside the official residence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday, demanding his resignation.

The demonstrators say Netanyahu should step down because of his corruption trial and what they say is his mismanagement of the coronavirus crisis.

Demonstrations have been taking place each weekend in central Jerusalem for over seven months.

But whereas the protests used to draw thousands of people from across Israel, they have grown smaller in number as temperatures have dropped.

Israel, which will hold an election on 23 March, has just eased its third lockdown and is leading one of the world's most successful vaccination campaign.
