Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region's proximity to the Afghanistan border has made it vulnerable to cross-border terrorism and violence.
This is the second attack in a month. A few days back, a massive bomb attack shook the region. A bombing attack at a security installation in Pakistan's northwest border province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has killed at least 12 people.
