Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's political party Tehreek-e-Insaf on Saturday took to Twitter and released a statement giving clarification after the provincial government of Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa live streamed a press conference on Facebook with a cat filter on.

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's political party Tehreek-e-Insaf on Saturday took to Twitter and released a statement giving clarification after the provincial government of Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa live streamed a press conference on Facebook with a cat filter on. 

In the clarification, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf said that its social media team "is deemed to be the pioneers of social media in the country, stating that they probed into the 'Cat filter' incident.

After PTI's social media probed the matter, it concluded that the incident happened as a "human error" by one of their hard-working volunteers.

The statement also added that all "necessary actions have been taken to avoid such incident in future with a great emphasis on strict enforcement of SOP and protocol for live coverage by the ground teams". Read here:

In a comedy of errors, the press conference by Imran Khan's party PTI which live-streamed on Facebook had a cat filter on some of the leading to the ministers while they were addressing the briefing.

Photos of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister of Information Shaukat Yousufzai and his fellow ministers with cat ears and whiskers went viral on social media.

While the press conference was about the recent decisions made by the Provincial Assembly in the country, the netizens could not get over the mishap.
