After Imran Khan drew flak for extending the term of Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa by three years, a tweet has resurrected throwing light on the laughable duplicity of the Pakistan Prime Minister.

The puppet Prime Minister signed a letter extending the tenure of Pakistan's Army chief on the grounds of 'regional security.' However, in a tweet from January 2016, Imran Khan's opinion towards then Pakistan Army chief, General Raheel Sharif, was quite the contrast.

Here is what he had said in 2016:

The Pakistani Prime Minister praised the former Pakistan Army chief for 'refusing' to extend his tenure. As an opposition politician, Imran Khan had even said that 'judges and generals should never be given extensions.'

In an interview as an opposition leader, Imran Khan had said that generals were not given extensions even during the world war and that all institutions must run according to their law.

General Qamar Javed Bajwa- Imran Khan's mentor

Qamar Javed Bajwa, who is known to be Imran Khan's mentor assumed charge as the 16th Chief of Army Staff for the Pakistan Army in November 2016. Since then an increased number of ceasefire violations and outright attacks into Kashmir has been witnessed. In 2017,  Pakistan-based terror outfits indulged in 163 incidents of terror in the Valley killing 54 civilians and martyring 83 security forces. In fact, since Bajwa took over the number of infiltration attempts went from 165 in 2016 to 220 in 2017 and 271 in 2018.

Moreover, recently after being faced with blacklisting by the FATF, Bajwa has reportedly directly interfered into Pakistan government's decisions pushing for a cabinet reshuffle. This ultimately led to Bajwa's appointment as a member of the newly-formed National Development Council headed by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
