'Won't allow terror groups to function in our country now' says Pak PM Imran Khan in terror admission after sham crackdown on Hafiz Saeed

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday proclaimed that terror groups will be forbidden to operate on Pakistani soil and carry out terror attacks around the world, days after detaining terror outfits during a crackdown.

He said, "This government will not allow Pakistan's land to be used for any kind of outside terrorism. We will not allow any terror group to function in our country now."

Through this statement, the Pakistani Prime Minister might have made a tassel admission that the country until date, was, in fact, shielding terror outfits and allowed them to function on their soil.  

Following the pressure mounted by New Delhi and the global community for persistently harbouring terror on Pakistani soil, Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar's brother was taken into 'preventative detention for investigation' along with the 44 members of the banned terrorist outfits who were detained by Pakistani authorities. 

Mufti Abdur Rauf, brother of JeM's founder Azhar, and Hammad Azhar are among 44 people detained, not arrested.

However, Pakistan's duplicity is conspicuous considering the consistent backing provided to terror outfits within their border:

Pakistan blocks UN visa to meet Hafiz Saeed

Visa requests of a United Nations team to interview 26/11 Mumbai terror attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed, residing in Pakistan, were rejected by the country’s consulate in New York. A fresh proposal had been moved by Hafiz Saeed to remove his name from the UNSC 1267 sanctions list which is a list of UN recognised terrorists.

According to sources that confirmed Pakistan’s latest duplicity in the Hafiz Saeed case, it was fearful that Saeed would voluntarily reveal more incriminating evidence against it and their support to various terror organisations operating from its soil, therefore, Pakistan blocked a face-to-face interview of Hafiz Saeed by the UN officials.

Under the guise of a sham 'crackdown' on terrorism emanating from its soil, Pakistan has effectively extended state protection to 26/11 Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed's Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) and Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation (FIF), with the police placing itself outside the heavily fortified complex.

In a massive development which has been learned by Republic TV, sources had said that ISI of Pakistan had shifted Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar from Rawalpindi Army hospital to a hideout in Kotghani in Bahawalpur few days before Indian Air Forces bombed terror-havens of the terror outfit.

Pakistan government and Jaish-e-Mohammed

The world saw how the Pakistani Foreign Minister Mehmood Qureshi fumbled and spilled how the Pakistan government is aware of Masood Azhar's whereabouts and is in touch with Jaish-e-Mohammed, a UN designated terror organisation, on two international media channels. Furthermore, went ahead to defend the terror organisation, refusing to hold them responsible for the ghastly Pulwama terror attack. 

A public facade to revamp their global image, Imran Khan's hollow words come in the time when Pakistan is facing fierce global pressure from United States, United Kingdom, Israel and more to act upon terror-outfits nurtured in the country.

On Monday, Pakistan announced a new crackdown against terrorists and by Thursday, 182 religious schools run by banned groups had been seized, and more than 120 people detained.

However, given the history, New Delhi has been skeptical over Islamabad's steps to pull the terror groups to pieces.
