The train, which was carrying over 400 passengers, came under heavy fire from BLA fighters.
According to the BLA’s fighting units, the operation is being spearheaded by the Majeed Brigade, a suicide unit, with additional support from the STOS, Fatah Squad, and Zirab unit.
The BLA revealed that the hostages include personnel from the Pakistani military, police, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), and the Anti-Terrorism Force (ATF).
These officials, who were reportedly on leave and traveling to Punjab , have been taken captive. However, in an effort to minimize civilian casualties, the BLA has released women, children, and Baloch passengers, focusing solely on holding military and security personnel.
