Aseefa Zardari: 'Will hold govt responsible if anything happens'

Assefa Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday, to slam the Pakistan government alleging that the government is purposely retracting medical reports of her ailing father

Former Pakistan Presiden Asif Ali Zardari's daughter, Assefa Bhutto Zardari took to micro-blogging website Twitter, on Tuesday, November 5, to slam the Pakistan government alleging that the government is purposely retracting medical reports of her ailing father. She alleged that her father and the former President has had no access to his doctors for the past 6 months. She also stated that if anything happens to Zardari, the government will be held responsible.

"Our family is increasingly concerned," says Aseefa Zardari

As reported by The Dawn, Asif Ali Zardari was admitted to the cardiology department's VIP ward of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences on October 22, where he was brought from the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.

Earlier in August, Former Pakistan president Asif Ali Zardari's daughter had alleged manhandling by police when she went to meet him in hospital, saying that she was not allowed to meet her father who was sent back to jail despite being seriously ill, according to a media report. Zardari was shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) from Adiala Jail for medical checkup after his son Bilawal Bhutto had blamed the Imran Khan government of denying him medical facilities in the prison. However, Zardari, who is also the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman, was shifted back to the jail.
