Peruvian Health care professionals protested on Friday against the lack of medical equipment and investment in infrastructure, as the country battles with the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the Peruvian Medical Association, there are more than 230 doctors infected with COVID-19, the illness caused by the new virus.

Meanwhile, thousands of Peruvian police members lined up to get COVID-19 tests after several members reported infected with the virus.

For most people, the new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks.
