Moscow: Indian Prime Minister is in Russia for two days and he began his second day with a powerful address to the Indian community in Moscow.

The Prime Minister spoke about the government's successes, its plan for the third term, India's position on a global level and the contributions of the citizens of the nation, towards the country's progress and development.

PM Modi highlighted how the relationship between India and Russia is based on mutual trust and respect; how people in Russia love India, celebrate our festivals and participate in events. PM Modi also thanked Russian President Putin for his friendship.

PM Modi has also said that India has been progressing rapidly and that ‘India is challenging all the challenges’. The Prime Minister went on to say that it is in his DNA to 'challenge the challenges'.

  • PM Modi And His Strong ‘Number 3’ Connection

In the very beginning of his address, PM Modi highlighted that he has come to power for the third consecutive time and that he has vowed to work with three times more strength and speed. 

He also said that it is a coincidence that the number three is also present in many of the government's goals - the government's goal is to make India the third largest economy in the world in the third term.

He said that the government's target is to create three crore houses for the poor, three crore ‘Lakhpati Didi’ to empower the women self-help groups running in villages in India.

Highlighting the success of Chandrayaan-3 as a milestone, PM Modi said that the India of today's India achieves the target it sets.

He further added, "From semiconductors to electronic manufacturing, from green hydrogen to electric vehicles and world-class infrastructure, India's new pace will write a new chapter of world development...From global poverty to climate change, India will be at the forefront in challenging every situation..."

“The song was once sung in every household here, 'Sir pe lal topi Russi, phir bhi dil hai Hindustani.' This song may have become old, but the sentiments are ever-green.” 

Appreciating artists of the Hindi film industry, PM Modi said, “Artists like Raj Kapoor, Mithoon Da have strengthened the friendship between India and Russia...The strength of our relations has been tested many times and every time our friendship has emerged stronger.”

Sharing a ‘good news’ with the Indian community, PM Modi said, "I want to share some good news with you all. We have decided to open new consulates in Kazan and Yekaterinburg. This will enhance travel and business trades..."

PM Modi said, “Two years ago, the first commercial consignment also reached here from the North-South Transport Corridor...Now we are also working on Chennai-Vladivostok Eastern Maritime Corridor.”

Calling our nation a ‘Vishwa Bandhu’, the Prime Minister said, “India is giving new confidence to the world. India's growing capability has given the whole world, a hope of stability and prosperity.
