Pope marks 500 yrs of evangelization in Philippines

Pope Francis marked the 500th anniversary of the arrival of Christianity in the Philippines on Saturday. In a video message, he spoke of his visit to the country in 2015, where he said a crowd of seven million faithful welcomed him. "I remember my visit to your country with great warmth," the pontiff said. "You are generous; you are abundant, you know how to celebrate faith. Do not lose that, even amid difficulties," he added.
