93-yr-old man recovers from virus in Spain

Doctors and medical staff appauded the discharge on Thursday of a Spanish 93-year-old man who had recovered from Covid-19.

The man, whose name was not released, had spent five days is isolation at a hospital in La Seu d'Urgeil.

More than 95 precent of people who have died of coronavirus in Europe have been older than 60, WHO said on Thursday.

Spain is one worst-hit country from the coronavirus pandemic, with more than 100,000 people infected and the death toll has topped 10,000.

For most people, the new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks.

For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia, and could lead to death.
