A suicidal man who overdosed called a radio talk show. Here is a hair-raising account of what happened next

When radio host Iain Lee from talkRadio show went to work on Wednesday, he would not have imagined that he would be saving a life.  During the show, the 41-year-old got a call from a man who said he had tried to kill himself by overdosing on pills. He said that the man had said that he had taken pills and was dying on a street in Plymouth.

During the show, the 41-year-old got a call from a man who said he had tried to kill himself by overdosing on pills. He said that the man had said that he had taken pills and was dying on a street in Plymouth.

Lee tried with all his might and skills as a talk show host to get information about the man regarding where he was and what kinds of pills he had taken, 

However, there were several tense moments as the man stopped speaking to him leading to concerns whether he had passed succumbed to the overdose.

There were other concerns as well.

Fortunately, the man received the help in time as Lee had kept him conscious and taken the necessary details from him in order to get the medical help to him.

According to reports, the man who had called him was 51-year-old and suffering from depression and PTSD. Lee himself has been suffering from mental health issues and has been vocal about it.

He had even tweeted on the day of this incident about the effect of taking anti-depressants and how his cats brought him joy.
