Brazil starts to plan for Wuhan evacuation

Brazil's Health Minister said on Monday that the country will increase the alert level to the maximum, after the government started to plan the evacuation of Brazilian citizens from Wuhan, the Chinese city where the new coronavirus originated.

Luiz Henrique Mandetta said Brazil had no confirmed cases of the new virus, but needed to raise the alert as part of efforts to speed up the evacuation.

Health authorities in Brazil confirmed they were currently monitoring 14 suspected cases in the country.
