Canadian thief becomes sitting duck, leaves photocopy of face behind

In a bizarre incident, a thief ate food, made himself into a sitting duck and left a photocopy of his face behind giving away a vital clue for police.

A 54-year-old man, Gary Lambe, was allegedly involved in trespassing a commercial property. The bizarre suspect ate food, made himself into a sitting duck and left a photocopy of his face behind giving away a vital clue for the owners to find hoping the police won't be able to locate him. The police department responded to a call for trespassing in Dufferin Street and Ridelle Avenue area on August 23. The Toronto police released the photo the next day asking the general public for help in identifying the suspect.

The suspect was arrested on August 31 for an “unrelated matter”. He has been charged for breaking and entering a commercial property and for failing to comply with his probation period. On September 06, the Toronto police released another notice where they posted an update on the case and stated that Lambe, the suspect had been arrested. The police also thanked the public for their help as he was identified with the tips and information provided by the members of the community. 

Fun burglary stories

Another hilarious story of burglary when a man who had already spent 20 years in prison for a bank robbery tried to rob a bank as soon as he was released from the jail. He was able to rob and received several thousand dollars from two banks. As soon as he reached his hired getaway car he realized that he had locked his keys inside. The burglar tried to run away from the scene on foot but was grabbed by two passersby. He tried to pull out his gun but failed and shot himself in his leg. The suspect was later taken to a hospital and recovered after which he was charged with eight felonies.

Similarly, in Dartford, Kent, England, a robber armed with only a hammer attempted to smash his way into the house through the front windows but unfortunately, his foot got caught and he was unable to free himself. He was left hanging upside down in the window frame for more than an hour. A crowd of around 30 neighbors gathered and ridiculed him. As soon as the police arrived they were reportedly seen laughing as they arrested the suspect.
