The UAE has launched its first drive-thru coronavirus testing clinic.

Abu Dhabi's crown prince inaugurated the clinic by being one of its first patients.

Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan had his nose swabbed to test for COVID-19.

His temperature was also checked.

The state news agency says the centre will be able to provide services for around 600 people a day.

So far, the UAE has had 468 cases.

The UAE is under a nationwide curfew from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. as it goes through a disinfection programme that runs until April 4th.

For most people, the new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks.

For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia and death.
