'Fabrication of democracy': Iraqis react to US violence

Iraqis in Baghdad on Thursday criticised the violence in Washington where supporters of President Donald Trump stormed the U.S. Capitol.

"What happened yesterday in the American Congress was a total fabrication of democracy," one Baghdad resident said.

Another said the Americans tried to impose democracy on the rest of the world but weren't so keen on it themselves.

Trump has lost the election and he must leave, he said.
