Hundreds of vehicles took part in a procession on Tuesday in Myanmar as a funeral was held for a protester who was killed during demonstrations. Horns blared and scores of people lined the streets saluting a convoy of motorbikes and cars as they drove through the city of Mandalay.

Thousands have taken to the streets after the military seized control of the country and detained leader Aung San Suu Kyi and other government officials three weeks ago.

The junta detained detained Suu Kyi and other government officials, and prevented Parliament from convening, saying elections in November were tainted by voting irregularities.
