One hundred and four people traveling on unsafe boats were rescued in the Southern Mediterranean Sea over the weekend by German NGO Sea-Watch.

On Saturday, rescuers onboard the Sea-Watch 4 rescued seven men from a damaged vessel.

The following day, they rescued 97 people from an overcrowded dinghy, including 13 women, 47 men and 37 minors, of which 28 were unaccompanied.

The Sea-Watch 4 is currently operating in the area north of Libya.

The rescue missions came days after a separate boat carrying dozens of migrants bound for Europe capsized off Libya.

Forty-five people drowned or were missing and presumed dead, according to the U.N.
