Iran Revolutionary Guard holds naval parade

Iran's Revolutionary Guard and local militia speedboats held a naval parade in the Persian Gulf Saturday.The drill took place almost exactly five years after two United States Navy boats were seized by the Iranian Navy after they entered its territorial waters in January 2016.

Hundreds of vessels took part according to state television.The parade came while a Korean tanker ship remains in Iranian custody.

Iranian boats seized the Hankuk Chemi as it transited the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow entrance to the Persian Gulf from the Arabian Sea on Monday.It had allegedly been polluting Iranian waters.
