Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday met British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on the sidelines of a conference in Berlin bringing together all the key players in Libya's long-running civil war.

Countries with interests in the war agreed to respect a much-violated arms embargo, hold off on military support to the warring parties and push them to reach a full cease-fire

Among others attending were Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Premier Giuseppe Conte and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

Libya's two main rival leaders, Prime Minister Fayez Sarraj and General Khalifa Hifter, also came to Berlin.
