Kosovo eased lockdown rules on Monday to allow freedom of movement, though a ban on large gatherings remains.

Land borders have opened, and incoming visitors are not forced to self-quarantine themselves.

A long queue of vehicles could be seen at Merdara border crossing with Serbia, to enter Kosovo.

Sport activities, cultural events and pools are still shut.

Football league matches will be held without fans.

Kosovo has also opened public transport but with a limited number of passengers.

Kosovo's Acting Deputy Prime Minister Haki Abazi said he is also considering restoring some flights.

"We're going to a new normal", he added.

Kosovars are advised to continue to respect social distancing and hygiene measures such as hand washing regularly.
