Only in Australia: Police rush to man's house believing there's an emergency, find him trying to kill a spider

The nation down under which is known to have attacks from several of its wild animals, insects and even birds is in the news because of one of its fearsome creatures.

The police in Western Australia's Wanneroo rushed several of its personnel to a man's house believing he is in danger, only to realise he was trying to kill a spider.

The police in Western Australia in Wanneroo have confirmed to media that they had received a report of a man screaming repeatedly "Why don't you die?". They also received reports of a toddler screaming.

Following the report, the police rushed multiple officers to the man's house. After reaching there, they found the man with a serious fear of spiders and was killing the one in his house.

In a tweet which was deleted the police had revealed details about the incident and even said that there had been no injuries during the incident - "except to spider."

"Police spoke with all parties who advised that husband had only been trying to kill a spider (has serious fear of spiders). Apologised for inconvenience to police," wrote that Wanneroo Police.

A spokesperson for the Police force in Western Australia said that they deleted the post as it had screenshots of police communications and had typos in it.

However, the screenshot got the Twitter giving out myriad reactions.
