Indonesia's National Search and Rescue Agency chief Bagus Puruhito announced Friday that the search for wreckage and victims of the Sriwijaya Air jet that crashed last weekend in the Java Sea will last for three more days, until Monday. The plane carried 62 people, and families of the passengers have been providing DNA samples to help identify their loved ones.

The National Police said 12 crash victims had been identified as of Thursday, including a flight attendant and an off-duty pilot.

Investigators have downloaded the technical information from the plane's flight data recorder, which was salvaged earlier this week. Puruhito said rescue teams were already working in Manuju, after a 6.2 magnitude earthquake shook Sulawesi island just after midnight.

The quake killed 15 people, injured more than 600 and thousands were displaced. There were reports of many people still trapped in the rubble of collapsed homes and buildings.
