A Soyuz rocket carrying 36 internet satellites launched from the Vostochny Cosmodrome in Russia late on Friday.

They were the latest batch of satellites put into orbit by British firm OneWeb.

The company is creating a 'constellation' of spacecraft aimed at providing global internet coverage, including at sea, in the air, and in remote areas on land.

The latest stack brings the number of satellites launched so far up to 218.

They've been placed in a target orbit of 450 kilometers (280 miles) above Earth.

The launch was due to have taken place on Thursday but was delayed for technical reasons.
