SpaceX launches South Korea's military satellite

SpaceX successfully launched South Korea's first military communications satellite into space on Monday. A Falcon 9 rocket blasted off from Florida's Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, carrying the Anasis-II satellite.

SpaceX successfully launched South Korea's first military communications satellite into space on Monday. A Falcon 9 rocket blasted off from Florida's Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, carrying the Anasis-II satellite. Built by Airbus Space and Defense, the satellite "will provide secure communications over a wide coverage," according to Airbus. Anasis-II was originally scheduled to launch on July 14, but was postponed by SpaceX to allow time for additional preflight rocket checks.
