As the international flights in Afghanistan have resumed, people of the country have voiced complaints about the lack of tickets and the increasing ticket prices in the country. All the international commercial flights have been cancelled after the Taliban takeover in Afghanistan, ANI reported citing TOLO News.

After the flight services resumed, aircrafts from Pakistan and Iran have landed at the Kabul Airport, however, people have been facing difficulties due to the scarcity of tickets and increase in price of tickets.

A ticket recipient urged the Taliban government to bring the flight availability back to its normal state. The ticket recipient further added that they have only one flight, Kam Air, operating, and that it is not sufficient for all the passengers.

"We want the Taliban to return the flight availability to its normal state because we only have Kam Air and it is not enough. Like Iran and Pakistan, we do not have many planes," ANI cited TOLO News for quoting ticket recipient.

Scarcity of flight tickets in Afghanistan

Another ticket holder raised concern over the increase in the ticket price and revealed that he borrowed money in order to purchase the flight ticket. The officials at Afghanistan's Civil Aviation Authority (ACAA) said that the flights have not returned to their normal state despite the permit granted to the international flights to operate in the country. Ghulam Jilani, Deputy Chief of ACAA, mentioned that they do not have a proper timetable and schedule for flights unlike earlier.

"We do not have a specific timetable and schedule for flights as we used to have in Kabul Airport. Only our domestic flights continue to a few provinces of the country: From Kabul to Mazar-e-Sharif, Herat and Kandahar," ANI cited TOLO News report for quoting Ghulam Jailani Wafa.

Furthermore, Ghulam Jilani revealed that the domestic flights operate from Kabul to Mazar-e-Sharif, Herat and Kandahar. Moreover, the travel agencies pointed out that due to the lack of international flights and the rise in demand for a ticket, the increase in the price of tickets has been witnessed.

"Flights should be normalized because passengers have a lot of problems. We have a few flights which are not enough because the prices are so high," ANI cited the news channel for quoting Mohammad Rasool.
