WATCH: In shocking video, man climbs onto aeroplane's wing as it gets ready to takeoff

A Nigerian man clambered on to the wings of an Azman plane at Murtala Muhammed International Airport at Lagos, Nigeria on 19 July, sending the passengers inside the flight into a panic-stricken mode.

A Nigerian man clambered on to the wings of an Azman plane at Murtala Muhammed International Airport at Lagos, Nigeria on 19 July, sending the passengers inside the flight into a panic-stricken mode. 

The movie-like incident was captured on camera as one of the passengers inside the flight shared the video on social media nad requested for immediate assistance. The man, identified later as Usman Adamu, was seen climbing the wings of the plane along with a bag. Visuals show the passengers inside the flight in a frenzy after the man was spotted. The incident reportedly led to the flight being delayed by 30 minutes until law enforcement authorities apprehended Adamu.

The passenger later provided an update on the situation after the man was apprehended by the security. The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) was initially scared to approach the man as he was carrying suspicious baggage and exhibited apprehensive behaviour as he dropped the bag into the engine and was seen walking around the flight.  

"The guy approaches the plane with gloves and starts walking around and under the aircraft holding a bag which he dropped inside the engine. Thanks to the Pilot of the Azman Airline for quickly observing and taking swift action. I still have a million and one questions to ask cos anything could have gone wrong! Nigeria will work perfectly someday. This I know," the passenger wrote.

Azman Air released an official statement about the incident and the man was identified. The statement was put out on their Twitter handle. Here's the statement released:

However, the reason behind the actions of the man has not been determined yet.
