The World Health Organization (WHO) on Wednesday said it supported Saudi Arabia's decision to limit pilgrimage at the Hajj, saying putting health first is a choice all countries must make during the coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking from Geneva, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said questions about how to hold large gatherings of people safely have become increasingly important.
The WHO expects 10 million confirmed cases within the next week.
