Movie theatres reopened in Moscow on Saturday after more than four months of being closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Film enthusiasts rushed to the first screening at midnight at Moscow's iconic Soviet-era Oktyabrsky cinema.
Strict social distancing measures were in place as cinemagoers watched their film.
Patrons had their temperature taken and were required to wear medical masks before entering the movie theatre.

Inside the theatre, seats were left empty between each household or group to keep the cinemagoers apart.
Following Moscow's lead, St. Petersburg is expected to open cinemas in mid-August, as well as several other large cities across the nation.
