Dangerously high winds are sweeping across Texas, triggering massive dust storms and drastically reducing visibility on major highways. The intense weather conditions have led to several semi trucks toppling over on an Amarillo interstate, causing severe traffic disruptions.

Officials have issued warnings, urging residents to avoid travel as the storm continues to escalate. With blinding dust storms making navigation nearly impossible, emergency services are on high alert for accidents and road closures. The chaos extended into New Mexico and Oklahoma, where near-zero visibility created dangerous situations for people driving vehicles. Officials feared worsening weather could trigger more pile-ups and road shutdowns.

Extreme winds wreaked havoc across Texas on Friday. Missouri bore the brunt of the devastation, with 10 people killed in a deadly tornado outbreak. The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed multiple injuries and widespread damage as violent storms ripped through the state.

Arkansas was also hit hard, with three fatalities reported in Independence County. According to officials, 29 others sustained injuries across eight counties, and 16 counties reported damage to homes, businesses, and infrastructure. The Arkansas Department of Public Safety cited downed power lines and fallen trees as additional hazards.

In Texas, the situation turned deadly when three people lost their lives in car crashes caused by blinding dust storms near Amarillo in the Panhandle. Authorities said the fierce winds exacerbated fire risks, warning that any spark could lead to fast-moving wildfires. Emergency responders remained on high alert as the extreme weather persisted.

The National Weather Service issued multiple warnings for severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, and high winds across affected states. Meteorologists cautioned that conditions could worsen, bringing more destruction and travel disruptions.

As the storm rages on, officials urge residents to stay indoors, avoid travel, and heed evacuation orders where necessary. With critical fire threats and hazardous conditions gripping the region, authorities remain focused on minimizing further casualties and damage.
